Is THIS worth being fat for??
How is your week going? Any trouble trying to jump up and bite you in the butt? Well, don't let it. I know sometimes we want to eat things off plan, and we think, "just this little bit won't matter", but it does matter. Each off plan bite takes us a little bit further from our goal.
I was messaging with a friend about our joint struggles with food and at this moment I really want a few of the twizzlers stashed in my kitchen. The voice says, “have just a few, it’s not going to make a difference”. But it occurs to me. Am I going to risk being fat again for twizzlers? Really…….. twizzlers? Then the thought came to me, “Is there anything in that kitchen worth being fat for?” I mean really, we aren't talking giving up world peace here, we are talking about food. So I suggest you go do it……..Go in the kitchen and look around. Look in the fridge, cabinets, pantry, whatever. Now…. is anything in there worth being fat for? No matter how good that pack of twizzlers looks in my bread box. I would say they are not worth being fat for. Whenever you want to eat something off plan, anything, look at it and make a conscious decision, "Am I willing to be fat for this?" Because it is the THIS that makes us fat. Each teaspoon, bite, etc. contributes to the pain and frustration. Don't go numb....really look at it and make a conscious choice. Let’s choose the food, and not let it choose us. I have got to take back the power from the food. I won't cower, hide ,and run from it anymore. It is powerless and my power is unlimited.
I won’t eat the twizzlers tonight, because they are not worth being fat for. They don't control me, I control what I do with them.
